Studi University of Eastern Finland membandingkan kesehatan orang-orang berusia di atas 65 tahun setelah bermain golf 18 lubang, berjalan kaki sejauh 3,7 mil atau “berjalan Nordik” — menggunakan tiang berjalan untuk berjalan.
