SKOR.id - Ada hubungan yang tidak baik antara meminum minuman beralkohol dengan latihan dan berolahraga.

Peneliti dari Institut Makanan, Nutrisi, dan Kesehatan Selandia Baru melakukan penelitian tentang ini.

Mereka meneliti apa hubungannya minuman beralkohol dengan recovery otot usai latihan yang berat.

Hasilnya, mereka yang minum alkohol berkurang kekuatan ototnya hingga 34-40 persen, membuat latihan keras sedikit jadi sia-sia karenanya.

Penelitian lain menunjukkan bahwa alkohol juga mengurangi level hormon pertumbuhan hingga 70 persen, padahal hormon ini sangat penting artinya bagi perkembangan otot.

Begitu juga dengan hormon testosteron yang berhubungan dengan perkembangan otot, bisa terpengaruh dengan konsumsi alkohol.

Selain itu, alkohol juga mengurangi kecepatan tubuh untuk membakar lemak sampai 73 persen.

Meski begitu, bukan berarti atlet atau orang biasa yang berolahraga tak bisa meminum minuman beralkohol.

 

Kuncinya adalah minum dengan takaran yang pas dan cara yang benar.

Alkohol memberi efek buruk jika dikonsumsi lebih dari satu gram alkohol per berat badan.

Akan tetapi, tentu saja lebih sedikit alkohol lebih baik.
