Hipertensi adalah istilah medis dari penyakit tekanan darah tinggi, kondisi ini dapat mengakibatkan berbagai komplikasi kesehatan.

Yang berbahaya dari penyakit ini adalah dapat meningkatkan risiko terjadinya penyakit jantung, stroke, bahkan kematian.

Sedangkan bagi para gamer, menjaga pola makan dan aktivitas olahraga tampaknya masih jarang dilakukan.

Terdapat beberapa tips untuk mengurangi risiko penyakit hipertensi bagi para gamer.

Berikut enam tips bagi gamer untuk menghindari hipertensi:

1. Melakukan cek tekanan darah secara rutin.

Melakukan monitoring terhadap tekanan darah menjadi sangat penting karena kita akan tahu apakah kondisi tensi berada di angka normal atau tidak.

2. Kurangi konsumsi garam atau makanan yang asin.

Garam adalah salah satu faktor utama pemicu penyakit hipertensi, dengan membatasi makanan yang asin diyakini dapat menjaga kondisi kesehatan.

3. Kurangi konsumsi kafein yang berlebihan.

Kandungan kafein dalam kopi juga menjadi salah satu faktor utama pemicu hipertensi, ganti minuman kopi dengan air putih atau minuman kesehatan lainnya.

4. Menjaga berat badan.

Dengan berat badan yang berlebih dibarengi dengan kadar gula dan garam yang tinggi dalam tubuh, usahakan selalu menjaga berat badan tubuh tetap ideal.

5. Berolahraga secara teratur.

Kurangnya olahraga menjadi salah satu penyebab tertinggi pemicu hipertensi. Dengan berolahraga maka akan menjaga tubuh dalam keadaan fit.

6. Berhenti merokok.

Tidak hanya pemicu hipertensi, rokok juga dapat memicu penyakit lainnya seperti jantung, kanker, dan lainnya. Maka sebelum hal buruk menimpa ada baiknya jika berhenti merokok.
