Kopi memang dikenal sebagai minuman yang punya beragam manfaat buat tubuh. Beberapa di antaranya adalah menyehatkan jantung, meningkatkan daya ingat, hingga menurunkan risiko kanker.

Meski demikian, perbebatan kerap kali terjadi antara dua kubu penikmat kopi. Sebagian dari mereka menganggap kopi hitam adalah yang paling sehat, terutama ketimbang kopi susu.

Sebab tambahan susu pada secangkir kopi hitam disebut akan meningkatkan jumlah kalori dan membuat peminumnya gemuk.

Namun dilansir dari Tiptar, manfaat yang ditawarkan kopi hitam dan kopi susu sama. Laporan menyebut jika salah satu zat yang terkandung dalam kopi adalah polifenol.

Polifenol sebagai salah satu jenis antioksidan memiliki efek dapat mengurangi efek buruk radikal bebas, memelihara kesehatan tubuh, serta mengurangi risiko terkena beberapa penyakit kronis.

Sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan Nestle, mengungkapkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan waktu penyerapan polifenol oleh tubuh antara kopi hitam dan kopi yang sudah ditambahkan susu.

Kopi hitam dianggap sehat "hanya" karena tak banyak mengandung kalori. Dalam satu cangkir kopi hitam tanpa gula, kreamer atau susu, hanya terkandung 2 kalori.

Meski demikian, kopi susu juga tak selalu bisa dipandang negatif. Sebab tambahan susu bisa mengurangi kadar asam yang terkandung di dalam kopi.

Ini berguna untuk seseorang yang tetap ingin mengonsumsi kopi tapi memiliki masalah lambung.
