Mengapa Petinju Tak Boleh Banyak-banyak Minum Susu dan Produk Turunannya?

SKOR.id - Menjadi atlet tinju ternyata harus berhadapan dengan keharusan dan pantangan demi menjaga kebugaran.

Selain olahraga rutin, ternyata ada beberapa makanan yang tak boleh dikonsumsi secara berlebihan oleh atlet tinju.

Salah satu yang harus dijaga jumlah konsumsinya adalah susu dan produk turunannya seperti keju dan yogurt.

Mengutip wawancara Dr. Philip Goglia bersama World Boxing News, ia menyarankan tentang petinju tidak boleh banyak mengonsumsi produk susu sebagai bagian dari program pelatihan mereka.

Ketua Komite Nutrisi WBC tersebut menyebut, produk susu bersifat kongestif dan inflamasi yang berpengaruh peningkatan panas lambung yang menyebabkan peningkatan gas di perut dan kembung.

Selain itu, susu juga mengganggu penyerapan oksigen pada penderita asma karena sifat penghasil dahak dan lendir dari dua gula, maltosa dan laktosa.

Anggapan yang salah kaprah menyebut, susu akan diolah sebagai protein oleh tubuh. Padahal, tubuh akan memanfaatkannya terlebih dahulu sebagai laktosa, atau gula susu.

Atlet biasanya akan menghindari produk olahan susu, terutama jelang pertandingan, karena berpotensi memicu peningkatan kadar trigliserida, peradangan, serta kolesterol.

Dikutip dari Stack, atlet secara umum lebih memilih produk biji-bijian dan kacang-kacangan untuk mengganti protein susu, salah satunya lewat susu almond.

Kacang-kacangan ini membuat atlet tak hanya memenuhi asupan protein tetapi juga serat untuk tubuh.
