Stop Body Shaming! Kita Bisa Sehat dengan Meski Tubuh Dipandang Kurang Ideal

SKOR.id - Isu body shaming atau mempermalukan tubuh orang lain kini menjadi sorotan di dunia maya.

Salah satu yang menjadi perbincangan adalah terpaan body shaming yang dialami artis Audi Marissa usai melahirkan.

Padahal, proses mengandung hingga melahirkan jelas mempengaruhi tubuh seorang wanita. Faktor hormonal dan tubuh menyimpan cadangan makanan saat mengandung menjadi alasan.

Bahkan, seseorang yang tak sedang mengandung atau melahirkan pun normal memiliki berat badan yang dianggap tidak ideal.

Riset yang dilakukan para peneliti dari Oxford, dikutip dari Health at Every Size Community, bahkan menunjukkan bahwa berat badan "kurang ideal" tak secara langsung mempengaruhi kesehatan badan.

Dalam risetnya, faktor ras dan keturunan turut memiliki pengaruh besar terkait bentuk badan seseorang.

Salah satu yang signifikan mempengaruhi kesehatan adalah gaya hidup, terlepas dari gaya tubuh apapun.

Memiliki tubuh ideal, mendekati hitungan body mass index, memang dianjurkan. Namun, ketika di antara kita ada yang kelebihan maupun kekurangan berat badan, tidak berarti juga seseorang tidak sehat.

Para dokter di komunitas Health at Every Size pun menyarankan perubahan gaya hidup meski kita memiliki tubuh kurus maupun gemuk.

Berusaha bugar setiap saat bisa didapat dengan gaya hidup sehat: olahraga rutin, mengukur dan mendisiplinkan pola makan, serta melakukan manajemen stress.

Jika anda ingin menaikkan atau menurunkan berat badan, saran yang diberikan pun hanya satu: lakukan cara alami.

Untuk menurunkan berat badan, melakukan konsumsi makanan bersih (tanpa junk food) dan olahraga rutin menjadi pilihan yang dianjurkan.

Begitupun dengan program menaikkan berat badan, dengan berkonsultasi ke ahli gizi serta memilih olahraga yang tepat untuk meningkatkan masa otot.
