Meski Enak, Keripik Kentang Ternyata Menyimpan Bahaya yang Mengancam Tubuh

SKOR.id - Meski terasa enak, kebiasan terlalu sering memakan keripik kentang ternyata ada potensi membahayakan untuk kesehatan.

Siapa yang tak menyukai camilan keripik kentang? Nyaris tak ada orang yang tidak menyukai makanan yang bernama keripik kentang.

Buktinya menurut penelitian, keripik kentang merupakan makanan ringan asin terlaris di Amerika Serikat.

Keripik kentang kerap dijadikan pilihan orang sebagai pelengkap ketika sedang bersantai.

Sayangnya, keripik kentang ternyata bukan kategori makanan yang menyehatkan.

Menurut jurnal yang dirilis oleh Journal of the American Heart Association, menunjukkan bahwa, memakan keripik kentang di antara waktu makan ternyata meningkatkan risiko kematian sampai 50 persen.

Selain itu, terlalu banyak memakan keripik kentang juga meningkatkan risiko meninggal dunia karena serangan jantung sebesar 57 persen.

Penyebabnya adalah zat-zat yang terkandung di dalam keripik kentang.

Di dalam keripik kentang terkandung 660 mg natrium serta 189 mg sodium.

Zat-zat tersebut lah yang bisa menyebabkan penyakit-penyakit seperti gagal jantung.

Seorang penulis dan profesor di di departemen nutrisi dan kebersihan makanan di School of Public Health, Harbin Medical University (China), Dr. Ying Li, melakukan penelitian terkait konsumsi makanan ringan yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok makanan sayur, buah dan kelompok makanan barat.

Kelompok makanan barat di dalamnya termasuk memakan camilan berupa keripik kentang.

Dan penelitian tersebut menhasilkan bahwa kelompok makanan barat memiliki 44 persen risiko meninggal karena serangan jantung.

Sedangkan kelompok makanan buah, risiko meninggal karena serangan jantung turun sampai 34 persen.

Sementara sayur risiko kematian menurun hingga 23 persen.
