Bahkan baru-baru ini di acara bergengsi Met Gala, salah satu selebriti, Putri Madonna, Lourdes Leon, memamerkan bulu ketiaknya.

Meski memilihara bulu ketiak tak memiliki manfaat untuk kesehatan secara signifikan namun tetap memberikan efek positif untuk tubuh.

Berikut adalah 3 manfaat memilihara bulu ketiak untuk tubuh:

1. Menurunkan Risiko Infeksi

Bulu ketiak bisa dibilang mempunyai fungsi yang mirip dengan perisai karena dapat melindungi kulit ketiak dari berbagai bakteri.

Selain itu mencukur bulu ketiak jika tidak dilakukan secara benar juga akan berisiko melukai lapisan kulit sehingga sangat mudah untuk terkena infeksi.

Berbagai bakteri yang bisa menyerang lapisan kulit ketiak adalah streptococcus, staphyloccocus aureus dan MRSA.

2. Mengatur Suhu Tubuh

Seluruh bulu yang ada dalam tubuh sensitif terhadap suhu, saat suhu hangat bulu akan berbaring seperti biasa namun jika suhu dingin bulu dalam tubuh pasti akan berdiri atau sering disebut merinding.

Pergerakan bulu dalam tubuh bukan hanya sekedar sensitivitas saja melainkan untuk mengatur suhu tubuh.

Posisi tersebut ternyata dapat menjebak panas agar tubuh tetap hangat.

3. Mengurangi Gesekan

Keringat yang bercampur dengan gesekan atau gerakan yang dilakukan berulang-ulang dapat menyebabkan seseorang terkena radang dan ruam pada kulit.

Memelihara bulu ketiak bisa menjadi salah satu cara meminimalisir hal tersebut.

Semakin banyak bulu ketiak yang ada dalam tubuh maka peradangan kulit lebih bisa diminimalisir sehingga tubuh tetap aman dan aktivitas jadi lebih lancar.

Meski tak memiliki manfaat kesehatan yang signifikan namun memelihara bulu ketiak juga mempunyai sisi positif untuk tubuh.
