Beberapa orang mengatakan bahwa daging tidak sehat, tetapi di sisi lain tak sedikit yang menyebut bahwa daging memiliki manfaat bagi kesehatan tubuh.

Daging sendiri terbukti menjadi salah satu sumber protein bagi manusia.

100 gram daging ayam masak mengandung 31 gram protein, sedangkan daging sapi dengan berat yang sama mengandung 27 gram.

Dilansir dari Healthline, protein dari hewan merupakan protein yang komplit, artinya itu mengandung zat-zat penting seperti multivitamin, mineral, niacin, dan selenium.

Berikut ini adalah empat manfaat dari mengonsumsi daging.

1. Meningkatkan Metabolisme Tubuh

Menurut beberapa penelitian, diet tinggi protein yang mengonsumsi daging meningkatkan metobolisme tubuh.

Selain itu, daging juga bisa mengurangi nafsu makan sehingga bisa memaksimalkan diet.

2. Meningkatkan Massa Otot

Protein hewani terbukti bisa secara konsisten meningkatkan massa otot manusia.

Dalam penelitian yang melibatkan wanita usia tua, memakan daging sapi terbukti meningkatkan massa otot dan mengurangi kerutan pada tubuh.

3. Menguatkan Tulang

Protein hewani lagi-lagi berperan penting di dalam tubuh manusia.

Selain massa otot, protein hewani juga bisa meningkatkan kepadatan dan kekuatan tulang.

Sebuah penelitian yang dilakukan kepada wanita usia tua menunjukkan bahwa mereka yang mengonsumsi daging dengan tepat memiliki risiko 69 persen lebih kecil untuk mengidap sakit pinggang.

4. Penyerapan zat besi lebih baik

Selain protein, daging hewan jug mengandung zat besi.

Zat besi tersebut bisa diserap lebih baik ke dalam tubuh ketimbang zat besi yang ada di dalam sayur-sayuran.

Namun demikian, meski punya banyak manfaat, mengonsumsi daging juga tidak bisa terlalu berlebihan.

Selain itu, cara memasak juga memengaruhi manfaat dari daging. 

Memasak daging dengan temperatur yang tinggi bisa membuat daging menjadi tidak sehat lagi.
