1. Makanan konsumsi diet

Satu telur berukuran besar mengandung 6 gram protein dengan 80 kalori. Sedangkan putih telur hanya 15 kalori.

Dengan kandungan rendah kalori, telur rebus bisa jadi salah satu camilan selama diet atau untuk pola makan vegetarian.

2. Suplai nutrisi tubuh

Selain protein hewani, telur juga mengandung vitamin B, DHA, dan aneka mineral seperti fosfor, zat besi, zinc, serta selenium.

Kuning telur juga mengandung vitamin D yang bisa memperkuat tulang dan gigi serta kolin untuk saraf dan otak.

3. Menyehatkan jantung

Meski mengandung kolesterol, kuning telur aman dikonsumsi untuk penderita penyakit jantung dengan takaran tertentu.

Untuk seseorang dengan kadar kolesterol normal, dianjurkan mengonsumsi 1-4 butir telur dalam seminggu.

4. Tidak meningkatkan kadar kolesterol darah

Kolesterol yang terkandung dalam kuning telur dipercaya tidak akan berubah menjadi lemak jenuh yang berbahaya untuk tubuh.

Sebagai catatan, satu butir telur ukuran besar hanya menggandung 1,6 gram lemak jenuh dan hanya sebagian kecil yang akan mencapai peredaran darah.
