Terminator Berbagi Tip agar Tetap Bugar Selama Masa Isolasi

SKOR.id – Aktor Arnold Schwarzenegger, melalui platform media sosialnya, mendesak orang agar tetap berada di rumah untuk mencegah penyebaran virus corona (Covid-19).

Gantinya, bintang film Terminator ini membagikan program latihan fisik selama masa isolasi di rumah, yang tak memerlukan peralatan mahal seperti bench press atau treadmill.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, 72 tahun, mengunggah latihannya itu via Reddit pada Sabtu (21/3/2020), dilengkapi dengan foto-foto dari masa kejayaannya sebagai atlet binaraga.

Ternyata Schwarzenegger menuliskan kembali program latihan yang pernah dijalaninya semasa masih aktif menekuni dunia bodybuilding (binaraga).

Program ini, menurut Schwarzenegger, bisa membantu orang tetap bugar meski gym tutup terkait anjuran physical distancing (menjaga jarak) dan isolasi diri di kota-kota besar.

"Bahkan tanpa ke gym, kita tetap bisa menjaga kebugaran selama pandemi berlangsung," kata Schwarznegger. "Body weight, atau freehand, adalah metode tertua di dunia."

Arnie, sapaan Schwarzenegger, memberikan contoh sosok Gladiator dan Viking yang tidak memiliki pusat kebugaran di masanya.

“Saya memulai melatih kebugaran fisik saya sendiri dengan melakukan gerakan chin up di cabang pohon di tepi danau di Austria," ujar mantan Gubernur California itu.

Sembilan Gerakan

Menu latihan Arnie meliputi sembilan gerakan yang meliputi push-up, sit-up, squat, calf raises, dan bent-over leg. Semuanya jelas-jelas tidak memerlukan peralatan.

Berikutnya, latihan triceps dips, rows, dan chin-up yang tetap bisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan barang-barang rumah tangga seperti kursi.

Mantan atlet binaraga yang kelahiran Thal, Austria ini menawarkan dua opsi berbeda, pemula atau advanced (lanjutan).

Intinya, gerakan latihannya sama. Tetapi jumlah repetisinya yang dibedakan, porsinya akan lebih banyak untuk orang-orang yang lebih berpengalaman.

Yang penting, kata Schwarzenegger, adalah posisi badan yang baik dan membagi gerakan dalam beberapa set, yang dimaksudkan untuk jeda di antara pergantian gerakan.

"Jangan biarkan ego menguasai Anda,” Schwarzenegger mengingatkan. "Anda mungkin ingin pamer kepada saya atau teman Anda dengan melakukan 50 push-up dalam satu set."

"Tetapi jika Anda tidak bisa melakukannya dengan bentuk yang sempurna, saya akan menjadi lebih terkesan dengan 5 set 10 push-up sempurna,” kata Arnie.

Tokoh yang menekuni dunia binaraga sejak berusia 15 tahun tersebut juga menawarkan modifikasi untuk orang-orang yang baru pertama melakukan gerakan-gerakan ini.

Seperti dalam melakukan push-up, yang di antaranya bisa menggunakan lutut sebagai tumpuan beban.

Untuk melacak kemajuan sendiri dalam program no-gym workout, bisa menghitung banyak repetisi sempurna yang bisa kita lakukan sebelum berhenti.

Setelah itu kita bisa menyelesaikan satu gerakan latihan dengan set lebih sedikit dari waktu ke waktu.

"Kita akan menyelesaikan ini bersama-sama, dan mudah-mudahan, kita semua akan lebih bugar dari sebelumnya (setelah pandemi ini berlalu)," Schwarzenegger memberi semangat.
