  • Oleh karena itu setiap orang harus memenuhi jam tidur masing-masing.
  • Setidaknya ada 5 penyebab seseorang menjadi sering mengantuk yang jarang diketahui.

Sering merasakan ngantuk dapat menimbulkan berbagai dampak negatif.

Salah satunya adalah menjadi tidak fokus dan menganggu aktivitas.

Oleh karena itu setiap manusia harus memenuhi jam tidurnya agar dapat menjalani hari lebih optimal.

Berikut adalah penyebab terganggunya tidur seseorang yang jarang diketahui.

1. Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS)

Restless Leg Syndrome adalah sindrom kaki gelisah yang dapat menganggu tidur.

Sindrom ini membuat penderitanya mempunyai keinginan kuat untuk menggerak-gerakan kakinya saat berbaring.

Saat sakit ini kambuh penderita akan merasakan nyeri bahkan sakit di area kaki.

2. Mengonsumsi Alkohol

Mengonsumsi alkohol secara berlebihan dengan jangka waktu yang panjang dapat mengacaukan pola tidur.

Penelitian mengatakan bahwa pecandu alkohol dengan jangka waktu yang lama memiliki jam tidur yang lebih sebentar.

Selain itu kualitas tidur juga akan menjadi buruk.

3. Parasomnia

Penderita Parasomnia biasanya akan memperlihatkan perilaku yang tidak normal.

Beberapa diantaranya adalah tidur sambil berbicara, membenturkan kepala saat tidur sampai tidur sambil berjalan.

Perilaku ini dapat membuat penderitanya terbangun dalam kondisi panik.

4. Depresi

Penyebab lainnya adalah depresi.

Hal ini disebabkan karena sering mengantuk masuk ke dalam salah satu gejala depresi.

Selain sering mengantuk depresi juga bisa ditandai oleh hilangnya semangat hidup, kehilangan minat dan ketertarikan, cemas sampai ide untuk bunuh diri.

5. Narkolepsi

Narkolepsi ditandai dengan ketidakmampuan menahan rasa ingin tidur di luar waktu tidur.

Gejala lainnya adalah saat sedang merasa gembira penderita bisa tiba-tiba terjatuh karena otot yang lemas.

Indikasi menderita narkolepsi lainnya adalah kelumpuhan saat tidur dimana seseorang tak mampu menggerakan tubuhnya.

Narkolepsi juga bisa ditandai oleh mimpi yang sangat jelas seolah hal tersebut adalah kenyataan atau halusinasi.
