American Academy Dermatology mengungkapkan, normalnya seseorang kehilangan rata-rata 50-100 rambut per hari.

Rambut rontok bisa terjadi akibat beberapa faktor, mulai dari penyakit, obat-obatan, pola makan yang buruk, hormon, dan perawatan rambut yang berlebihan. 

Untuk itu, perlu beberapa vitamin agar kualitas rambut tetap terjaga.

1. Vitamin A

Vitamin A sangat baik untuk menunjang pertumbuhan, termasuk rambut. Rambut menjadi jaringan dalam tubuh manusia yang paling cepat pertumbuhannya.

Vitamin A membantu kelenjar di kuit membuat zat berminyak yang disebut sebum.  Fungsinya adalah melembapkan kulit kepala dan menjaga kesehatan rambut

2. Vitamin B

Vitamin B kerap kali juga diesebut dengan biotin.Vitamin ini membantu membuat sel darah merah, yang membawa oksigen dan nutrisi ke kulit kepala dan folikel rambut. Proses ini penting untuk pertumbuhan rambut.

3. Vitamin C

Vitamin C merupakan antioksidan kuat yang membantu melindungi terhadap stres oksidatif yang disebabkan oleh radikal bebas.

Selain itu, tubuh membutuhkan vitamin C untuk membuat protein yang dikenal sebagai kolagen, yang menjadi bagian penting dari struktur rambut.

Vitamin ini juga membantu tubuh menyerap zat besi yang diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan rambut.

4. Vitamin D

Kandungan vitamin D yang rendah dapat membantu mengatasi tingkat kerontokan.

Vitamin ini membantu menciptakan folikel baru - pori-pori kecil di kulit kepala tempat rambut baru tumbuh.

5. Vitamin E

Vitamin E adalah antioksidan yang dapat mencegah stres oksidatif, mirip dengan vitamin C. Vitamin ini terbukti paling ampuh untuk mengatasi kerontokan pada rambut.

Biasanya, dapat mengalami peningkatan 34,5 persen dalam pertumbuhan rambut setelah ditambah dengan vitamin E selama 8 bulan.
