  • Sering menahan lapar ternyata memiliki dampak negatif untuk tubuh.
  • Salah satu penyakit yang bisa timbul karena menahan lapar adalah masalah kesehatan mental.

SKOR.id - Tubuh memerlukan asupan untuk menjalani aktivitas sehari-hari.

Namun banyaknya aktivitas terkadang membuat orang sulit untuk mengatur waktu makan.

Banyak yang memilih untuk melewatkan jam makan untuk menyelesaikan pekerjaannya terlebih dahulu.

Menunda makan terlebih saat merasakan lapar bisa berbahaya untuk tubuh terlebih jika sering dilakukan.

Berikut adalah 4 dampak akibat sering menahan lapar.

1. Metabolisme

Menahan lapar akan menganggu proses metabolisme dalam tubuh.

Hal ini dikarenakan oleh jam makan yang tudak teratur akan memberikan dampak pada ritme sirkadian.

Oleh karena itu orang yang sering menahan lapar memiliki risiko kenaikan berat badan, turunnya inun tubuh dan masih banyak lagi.

2. Mudah Lelah 

Tubuh membutuhkan energi untuk beraktivitas sehari-hari.

Untuk itu makan menjadi sesuatu yang penting terlebih jika memiliki kegiatan yang padat.

Artinya jika menahan lapar tubuh tidak mendapatkan kebutuhan energi dan akan menjadi mudah lelah.

3. Masalah Kesehatan Mental

Terus menerus menahan rasa lapar dapat membuat stres.

Stres yang bisa dialami sepertu depresi, kecemasan bahkan PTSD.

Menahan rasa lapar juga akan berdampak pada suasana hati dan dapat membuat lebih emosional.

4. Mengalami Malnutrisi

Mengalami kekurangan nutrisi adalah dampak nyata yang akan dirasakan oleh tubuh.

Kekurangan nutrisinatau malnutrisi bisa membuat tubuh terlihat kurus dan membawa berbagai penyakit.

Salah satu penyakit yang bisa timbul adalah anemia.
