Pada setiap 100 gram buah labu terkandung 20 kilokalori, 4,9 gram karbohidrat, 2 gram gula, 1,1 gram serat, dan hampir 94 persen mengandung air.

Tidak hanya itu, setiap 100 gram labu yang kita konsumsi akan memberikan 200 persen vitamin A yang dibutuhkan setiap harinya, 8 persen vitamin C, 2 persen folat (vitamin B9).

Buah labu juga mengandung mineral seperti 15 mg kalsium, 230 mg potasium, 9 mg magnesium, 30 mg fosfor, serta 1 mg sodium.

Berkat banyaknya nutrisi yang terkandung, buah labu pun memiliki sejumlah manfaat untuk kesehatan seperti menjaga kesehatan jantung.

Manfaat ini bisa didapatkan berkat adanya kandungan potasium, vitamin C, dan serat yang menstabilkan tekanan darah.

Manfaat ini dikarenakan adanya kandungan potasium, vitamin C, dan serat yang membuat tekanan darah lebih stabil.

2. Menurunkan Berat Badan

Buah labu cukup ampuh untuk menurunkan berat badan karena kandungan serat yang dapat menghidrasi tubuh dan memberi rasa kenyang.

3. Memperkuat Daya Tahan Tubuh

Manfaat ketiga dari buah ini adalah memperkuat imunitas atau daya tahan tubuh berkat adanya kandungan vitamin C dan betakaroten.

Selain itu, ada vitamin A yang membantu pembentukan sel darah putih dan membantu melawan infeksi.

4. Menjaga Kesehatan Mata

Mata adalah salah satu bagian tubuh yang paling sensitif sehingga perlu perawatan yang spesial.

Adanya vitamin A,C,E kemudian lutein dan zeaxanthin dalam labu membantu retina dalam memproses cahaya yang masuk, serta melindungi mata dari katarak dan degenerasi makula.
