Skipping atau lompat tali adalah salah satu olahraga kardio yang paling efektif membakar kalori dan praktis dilakukan di tengah pandemi Covid-19 kala pergerakan dibatasi.

Menurut studi, skipping selama 10 menit setara dengan 30 menit jogging. Namun, melakukan skipping memiliki risiko tersendiri sehingga memerlukan teknik yang benar.

Pebulu tangkis Inggris, Lauren Smith, baru-baru ini membagikan empat tips skipping yang benar untuk mendapatkan hasil yang maksimal.

Berikut ini tips skipping dari Lauren Smith:

1. Badan rileks

Pemain rangkap asal Inggris tersebut menekankan bahwa tubuh bagian atas harus dalam kondisi rileks ketika melompat. Dengan demikian irama lompatan bisa terus dijaga.

2. Gunakan pergelangan tangan

Smith kemudian mencontohkan pentingnya kondisi lengan atas yang stabil selama lompat tali.

Kekasih Marcus Ellis tersebut menekankan untuk jangan menggerakkan seluruh lengan ketika memutar tali, cukup lengan bawah dan pergelangan tangan.

3. Kontak mata

Hindari melihat lantai terlalu lama karena akan mempengaruhi ritme selama lompat tali.

"Lakukan kontak mata secara singkat ke lantai," begitu tulis pebulu tangkis 29 tahun tersebut.

4. Jaga postur tubuh

Smith menekankan pentingnya menjaga postur tubuh tetap tegak selama lompat tali. Jangan membungkuk ke depan atau ke belakang.

Selain tips di atas, Smith juga menambahkan satu hal penting untuk para perempuan yang ingin berolahraga melompat tali. Yakni, menggunakan bra yang tepat agar terasa nyaman.
